Materials & making
The vase is mouth blown from 100% recycled glass, a circular material. Locally-sourced clear jars and bottles are sorted, crushed and heated in the furnace until molten. The gather of glass is placed in a pre-mould to imprint the texture. It is then placed in a wooden mould in the shape of each seed vase and blown to size. The rim is melted with the texture, creating a wavy finish, before being annealed. The use of handmade techniques creates subtle variations between vases and ensures each has its own character. Air bubbles will occur as part of this 100% recycled and handmade process.
Care
Hand-wash in warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth.
